Warid Telecom (Pvt.) Ltd, socially responsible corporate citizen in its efforts to make Pakistan a polio free country once again supports National Polio Immunization Drive by running an awareness campaign. To eradicate polio from the country, Rotary Club members in Pakistan started a National Polio Immunization Drive all over the country from 12th to 14th July, 2010. Warid broadcasted an awareness text message notifying its subscribers about national immunization drive. Nearly 34 million children less than 5 years of age were immunized in the 3-day campaign. Over 86,000 teams administered Anti-Polio drops to the children countrywide. Rotary International is actively involved in eradicating Polio from the world. Most nations are Polio free today, except for 4 polio endemic countries, namely Nigeria, India, Afghanistan & Pakistan. Warid Telecom is doing its part with this earnest desire that soon our country will become Polio free.
