Warid Unlimited Mobile Internet GPRS/EDGE Pakage

Warid has announced new GPRS/EDGE packages for its prepaid customers, including unlimited bucket with daily subscription. Keep reading to know more details.

There are two internet buckets that Warid is offering:

Unlimited Bucket:

Unlimited Bucket, which is capped at 50 MBs per day. Meaning that 50×30 = 1500 MB a month, a fair deal I would say.

Activation:

  • SMS “Daily” to 7777 to activate 50 MB bucket
  • Daily activation is required
  • Validity expires at 12am daily

Price:

  • Rs. 12 per day  - No tax to be deducted for GPRS Usage
With Rs. 12 per day, this unlimited bucket gonna cost a customer Rs. 360 per month. Which is best deal for Mobile Internet for unlimited data speed.

Terms & Conditions: 

  • This Bucket is for all Warid prepaid packages
  • Limited time offer

2 MB Bucket:

  • 2 MB, i.e. 2 MB of data per day.
  • For activation SMS 2MB to 7777
  • Charges: Rs. 2.99 per day

Warid has Launched advance Balance Service

Warid has launched advance balance service, or also known as loan, for its prepaid customers.

with this service, those customers who get shot of mobile credit can refill their account with advance loan and return it whenever they recharge their accounts.

It merits mentioning here that Warid Advance loan will be given away only if your credit reaches below Rs. 5

How to Avail Warid Loan?

  • write LOAN in SMS and send it to 7676
  • You will get Rs.10 as an Advance Balance which will be deducted as soon as you recharge your account.
  • Rs. 2 + tax will also be deducted as service charges along with Advance loan

Warid Start again to Send Free SMS Delivery Reports

Warid customers reported last Wednesday that they have been receiving delivery reports for SMS messages, a feature that was previously switched-off. However, company didn’t confirm us then about the service or any of its associated charges.

But today, we have got this confirmation that Warid is restarting SMS delivery reports for it’s customers and that too for free (at least for now).

It won’t be out of place to mention that SMS delivery reports offer users an instant notification of the SMS message being delivered to the recipient, adding reliability and dependability in communication.

SMS delivery reports were once free for all operators. However, all of them stopped offering the service back in 2009 in order to balance the load on network.

Currently almost all operators offer SMS delivery reports to their customers as a paid service.

How to subscribe to SMS Delivery Reports?

 

The SMS Delivery Report Service is available to all subscribers by default. However, the subscriber needs to ensure that they have this feature enabled in their mobile handset.

 

 

Price:

The service is currently being promoted free-of-cost, but we know for a fact that service will be charged in future.

Warid Telecom (PVT) Ltd has extended its commitment by sponsoring SLUMS (Sports Society of LUMS (Lahore University of Management Sciences)) for the Year 2011-2012.

Mr. Amer Aman Khan, Head of Sales & Distribution, Warid Telecom (PVT) Ltd signed an agreement with Dr. Ali Khan, Patron, SLUMS to provide year long sponsorship to SLUMS (Sports Society of Lahore University of Management Sciences).

Warid was also the main sponsor for SLUMS activities last year and has generously extended support to SLUMS this year as well.

Sports at LUMS (SLUMS) is the largest society within the institution, catering to approximately 60 % of the entire student body.

Currently, LUMS students participate in 20 sports (athletics, darts, badminton, volleyball, basketball, handball, cricket, football, hockey, netball, rugby, horse riding, squash, table tennis, tennis, softball, water polo, weightlifting and boxing, swimming), intra-LUMS sports events, as well as inter-varsity/International tournaments that are held throughout the year, and involve not only the students at LUMS, but also student networks outside of LUMS.

Warid Announces All Pakistan Invitational Tape Ball GLOW Kricket Tournament 2011


Warid Telecom today announced the launch of GLOW Kricket Tournament starting from 15th March 2011. Announcement was made in a press conference held this Monday in Royal Plam, Golf and Country Club, Lahore. This tournament is one of the largest events of such magnitude in Pakistan in which over 320 Universities and Colleges from all over Pakistan are participating with over 6000 players, 320 teams. This tournament is organized in collaboration with Punjab Olympic Association and will be played in 12 different cities of Pakistan.

Warid Brings a Bonus offer on Daily Usage

After 100%  bonous offer  from Zong , Warid brings a similar offer, but with different terms.

Warid Brings SMS Blocker Service

Before  this Warid launched call block service, Warid now brings the SMS blocking facility to block all those annoying and unwanted SMS.

Simply follow the instructions provided below and get control over your incoming SMS traffic:

Procedure:

  • In order to block SMS from a particular number just send “block”<space>0321xxxxxxx in a SMS to 430.
  • The request shall be logged at Warid’s end and will be verified within 24 hours in case of an On-net SMS blocking request or 48 hours for an Off-net SMS blocking request.
  • Once the request has been verified the obnoxious user shall be warned the first time.
  • In case of another complaint to the same number the outgoing SMS facility shall be barred.
  • You will be informed regarding the action taken against the complaint after your request has been processed from our end.

Charges:

Charges of Rs. 2+tax per SMS shall be applicable.

It is interesting to note here that Warid has introduced Call and Sms block as separate services with separate charges.
