Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has advised the mobile phone subscribers to visit Customers Services Centre (CSC) of all mobile operator and get their SIM(s) data corrected against your CNIC.PTA has also requested the subscribers’ co-operation in streamlining of SIM data. PTA has recently introduced a new service named “SIM Information System 668″ with this service the mobile subscribers to know the total number of’ SIMs issued against their names with each mobile operator by sending their CNIC number to 668. “Since the launch of “SIM Information System – 668”, more than 17 million mobile subscribers have sought their SIM(s) data while 10% of them have visited Customer Services Centers (CSC) of mobile operators for the correction of their data. For the convenience of mobile phone subscribers of smaller cities and far-flung areas, PTA has also allowed the selected Franchises to only receive the complaints regarding SIM data and they will handover copy of undertaking to the subscriber. PTA Launched 668 SIM Ownership Information Service

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) organized telecom consumer forum with a theme “Together for Consumer Rights”. Secretary IT & Telecom, Mr. Naguib Ullah Malik was the chief guest while Chairman PTA, Dr. Mohammed Yaseen presided over the Forum.
