National School Software Competition 2008

Computer Society of Pakistan is organizing a School Software competition. This competition is open for school students only who are under 17 years of age. The competition will be held in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar on August 03, 2008.

Computer Society of Pakistan is organizing a School Software competition. This competition is open for school students only who are under 17 years of age. The competition will be held in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar on August 03, 2008.

The short listed participants will represent Team Pakistan in International School Software Competition being organized in September 2008 by SEARCC (South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation) in Chennai, India. CSP will bear the cost of international travel for the short listed participants.

Registration for the competition will start from July 23 to July 30, 2008. Participants will be able to register online on the Computer society’s official website www.csp.org.pk Competition will be held in C, C++ and Java programming languages. Short listed participants will be trained further to refine their talent.

Computer Society of Pakistan (CSP) is a premier body of ICT Professionals in Pakistan. It has three chapters and its members are serving ICT Industry in various roles. CSP was established in 1973 and since then CSP has been involved in creating ICT awareness through various conferences, seminars and workshops. CSP played an integral part in making a first ever Pakistan IT Policy.

CSP is affiliated with SEARCC which is the confederation of Computer Societies of Ten Asia Pacific Countries. These countries include India, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia etc.
