Ufone Introduces Super Sasta Package with Lowest Call Rates for all Networks


Ufone has introduced this new package called “Super Sasta Package”, with which its customers can make calls for just 90 paisa + tax per minute on all networks during 12 midnight till 5 PM the next day.

Call charges between 5PM to 12PM would be 90 paisas per 30 seconds, for all networks.

Moreover, with this package, Ufone customers can also enjoy sending SMS to all networks at for just 90 paisa + tax/SMS.

Ufone Has Come up with a Service Called Hisaab SMS

Telenor recently kicked off a campaign (read war) against all other operators by accusing them of stealing balance from mobile phone users.

Telenor, with its blunt TVCs, claimed that all operators steal balance of their customers while Telenor, according to its TVC, is the only operator with most honest and transparent practices.

In response to Telenor, Ufone has come up with a service that sends customers one SMS a day with daily summary of all the costs and charges that were deducted from the account on the previous day.

This service, called Hisaab SMS, is sent to customers daily with not only call and SMS costs but details of all charges associated with any value added services (that a customer is subscribed to) are also shared.

Most importantly, Hisaab SMS is free of charge and all Ufone prepaid customers are automatically subscribed to the service. Though they can unsubscribe it by calling helpline.

Unlike Telenor – that just claimed to be the most honest operator – Ufone has shown us the perfect example of what the honesty and transparency is.

We will have to see if Telenor has guts to be transparent enough to its customers by starting a similar service that clearly communicates all the charges that are deducted from customers?


Ufone Becomes First Local Brand to Cross 2 Million Fans on Facebook


Ufone has become the first Pakistani brand to cross 2 million fans on Facebook. It is a milestone for the company and the agency as Ufone becomes the first local brand to acquire 2 million fans on Facebook.

Ufone, Mobilink Increase Balance Inquiry Charges


During a latest development in telecom sector, Ufone and Mobilink has announced an increase of 5 paisas for balance inquiries. Zong, Telenor and Warid are likely to follow the move in coming days.

Ufone said that new balance inquiry charges will be applicable from May 25th, while Mobilink hasn’t mentioned any date for new charges yet. We are sure that other operators will announce similar increase in balance inquiry with-in weeks.

After this increase, balance inquiries will be charged at 20 paisas per transaction, excluding taxes – or 24 paisas per balance inquiry including taxes.

It maybe recalled that idea of paid balance inquires was first introduced in July 2009, and all balance inquires – which were previously free – were charged at 10 paisas plus tax.

Later, in April 2012, operators revised this rate and increased balance inquiry charges to 15 paisas plus tax, which are now again increased to 20 paisas per balance inquiry plus taxes.

It is interesting to note here that customers keep on innovating new ways of checking their balance for free, such as, through web portals or through various USSD codes that aren’t charged.
