After Ufone’s announcement of launching Galaxy S4 exclusively in Pakistan, it is now reliably learned that Mobilink has decided to take up the challenge by introducing two Smartphones in the country.

One of them is the Google’s flagship device Nexus 4 and other one is HTC Butterfly, we have confirmed with sources.

Though it is kind of late for Mobilink to offer this device in Pakistan, but good news is that Mobilink is offering this phone at a discounted price of Rs. 43,000 and to sweeten the deal further a data bucket of 2 GB for 90 days and 15 days Mobile music free trial is added to the package.

Price and Availability:

Though we were hoping that HTC Pakistan will bring the much awaited flagship deviceHTC One in Pakistan, the real competitor of Galaxy S4. But seems like — after the announcement of HTC Butterfly — we have to wait a little longer now.

The specs of Butterfly are great but I am not sure if this device can stand against Galaxy S4.

Mobilink is going to launch this phone for a price of Rs. 70,000 with one year warranty of Brightex. Mobilink customers will also get, 1 GB mobile internet for 30 days, a Pouch and Screen Protector for free.

HTC Butterfly will be launched in Pakistan on May 2, 2013.

Mobilink customers will now be able to make direct purchases from the Nokia App Store utilizing Mobilink’s operator billing system. This unique system will enable customers to purchase apps and other content from the Nokia App Store using the credit from their postpaid or prepaid accounts.

Mobilink customers can select an app of their choice from the Nokia App Store and then select the ‘Phone Bill’ as the payment option for their download. Mobilink subscribers will be able to use their phones as a payment method. Instead of using a credit card, customers will be able to add the cost of a game or app downloaded from the Nokia store to a monthly bill or have it deducted from their prepaid credit. GPRS charges will apply for accessing and downloading from the Nokia App Store.

When we tried, the support team was quick to respond. However, the wait time can increase in days to come – when service will get popular in masses.

Mobilink said that it takes reasonable safety measures for the protection of data transmitted over the chat services, however, it said that no method of transmission over internet, or electronic storage is completely secure, therefore, customers may choose to share data at their own risk.

Mobilink has finally introduced its e-care portal for Jazz and Jazba prepaid customers. This e-care portal will enable Mobilink’s customer to manage and maintain their accounts online.

Mobilink says that with e-care portal customers will be able to:

• View your account details (name/address/other details)
• Check the status of your free minutes/SMS (if applicable)

Customers must watch out that their Mobilink e-care account passwords are not revealed to anyone. Or no-one is able to sign-up on their behalf with Mobilink e-care portal or this can go dirty as this way anyone can have complete access to your account — without your consent.

NOTE:

Mobilink has said that E Care portal is launched as a pilot project and is currently available to limited users only. Company said that E Care portal will be rolled out as a commercial project soon.

Mobilink today launched an hourly offer for its Jazz and Jazba customers, called “Behtreen Ghanta Offer”.

Mobilink said that its Jazz customers, who will spend more than Rs. 10 + tax in a day can enjoy 80 paisa per hour calling rate for all on-net calls, round the clock.

Meaning that customers will have to spend Rs. Rs 11.95 (including taxes) in a day to be become eligible for using this hourly call rate of 80 paisas per hour for Mobilink to Mobilink calls.

This package is available on All Jazz and Jazba Packages except for Jazz Easy (LBC), JAZZ 24 Ghanta, PCO, JSP and Retailer package.
