Just few weeks before the Mobile World Congress 2013, LG unveiled new round of its Optimus L Series smartphones, the L Series II which comprises of the Optimus L3 II, L5 II, and L7 II. These are the latest addition in line of mid range handsets with android 4.1 Jelly Bean by LG.
Previously at MWC 2012, LG unveiled the Optimus L3, L5 and L7 which splashed the whole market with selling more than 10 million L-Series devices just in first ten months.
The new L Series II has new design elements such as Seamless Layout, Laser Cut Contour, Radiant Rear Design and Smart LED Lighting on the home button.
As of now, only the specs of the L7 II have been released yet and those too only partly. The phones are expected to be further detailed later (in MWC perhaps?) and in no way are flagship products of the Korean company.
Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Optimus L7 II features a 4.3-inch IPS display with WVGA resolution,
Inside, it is embedded with a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 processor, 768MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage space. There’s a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32 GB along with strong battery capacity of 2,460mAh.
On camera front, there is an 8 MP camera with LED flash and front facing unit with VGA resolution.
However, the L5 II and the L3 II have slightly lower specs as L5 II features a 4-inch WVGA display with a 1,700mAh battery and the L3 II features a 3.2-inch QVGA IPS display with smaller battery capacity of 1,540mAh.
These phones would also be available in dual SIM variants with set of unique applications such as QuickMemo, Quick Button and Safety Care. The QuickMemo lets you note quickly any type of content, the Quick Button lets you personalize a hotkey to launch any app such as the camera, browser, music player or QuickMemo and the Safety Care Emergency Call Forwarding, Phone Non-Usage Notice and My Location Notice to
a programmed contact in case of an emergency

So, far pricing details are also yet to know for these handsets. I’ll say it again that these are not flagship phones and here is the truth: If these phones are priced really appropriately, then they even have the potential to become bestsellers.
