Acer Announces Its Cheap Iconia B1 Tablet
Forget those days when you had to buy a Chinese product to keep up with tech trends because you couldn’t afford those expensive iPads because Acer has come to the rescue with the new Iconia B1-A71.
The 7 inch tablet announced at the MWC is among the cheapest tablets from a notable manufacturer out there that run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Still, it has managed to get some decent specs:
- 7 inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels
- Multitouch, capacitive touchscreen
- Thickness: 11.3 mm
- Weight: 320g
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- 1.2 Ghz dual-core Mediatek processor
- 512 MB RAM and 8 GB expandable storage
- VGA front-facing camera
- 2710 mAh battery
- Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Wifi
Now obviously, Acer has skimped out on some features like a rear camera (and a quad-core processor) but that’s obviously done to keep the prices down and that’s of course the most attractive feature of this tablet.
This tablet will cost 120 euros for the 8GB version and 140 euros for the 16GB model. You should expect its price to start at about Rs. 20,000 here in Pakistan which should drop a bit after couple of months after the launch.
This is not the first Android tablet from Acer but because of the price, we can expect it to be their best-selling.
